Haworth is an older suburb that was once a recreation area for many socialites from New York City because of the rolling greenery and several ponds that dot the landscape. It is located approximately thirty minutes from New York City and fifteen minutes from Rockland County, New York. Haworth is home to approximately 3,400 residents in 2.4 square miles, making the community a bit less urban than most cities and towns in Bergen County. Haworth was created from a portion of Harrington Township on February 24, 1904. The Borough recently celebrated its centennial. The main business district in Haworth is located on Haworth Avenue. Here you will find banks, restaurants, the Fire Department and medical offices.
